First, we know and recognize that many of you have been praying for the elders and staff over the last couple weeks. Thank you all for your prayers and please continue to pray for God’s guidance.  The elder board has been earnestly seeking God as we begin this next phase in our church and are confident that He has great things in store for Hill Country Bible Church Georgetown. We have an incredible staff and a great number of volunteers that are fully committed to reaching every man, woman, and child, with the good news of the grace of Jesus.

As we discussed at the June 9th congregational meeting, the elders would like to keep you updated on the senior pastor search as is appropriate.  At present, we are preparing a detailed interview process to include theological views, character, leadership, experience, background, etc. We will be looking both inside and outside the church for qualified candidates.

In the meantime, we have appointed Pastor Mike O’Bannion as the “Interim” Senior Pastor. Pastor Mike has shown great wisdom and has years of experience as a Senior Pastor, and we are blessed to have him in this transitional position.  Pastor Mike’s desire is to help prepare our church and staff for the next Senior Pastor. 

Our next update will be when we start the interview process. We are committed to finding the man God desires for this church. As such, we expect this process could take months as we carefully and prayerfully examine each one.  Again, thank you for your prayers.
