[9] But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

• Look at the following verses regarding your identity in Christ. How do these verses change your approach to worship? We are children of God (John 1:12) Friends of God (John 15:15), more than conquerors (Rom. 8:37), chosen and dearly loved (Col. 3:12), citizens of heaven (Phil. 3:20), the redeemed (Gal. 3:13), saints (Eph. 1:18) a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9) and a kingdom of priests (Rev. 1:6).
