A Survivor Story Years In The Making
Sometimes it takes more than a few weeks or months for disaster survivors to recover. Mark Burkeen has struggled for years and the ADRN Shepherd Team of staff and volunteers have stayed by his side all the way. So this week, we were overjoyed to pray over and bless Mark’s new home, celebrating the ways God has provided for him and his family.
Mark's story goes back to Hurricane Harvey in 2017 when high winds and rain reached into Central Texas. When it was all over, Mark's home was a disaster. But he had no place else to go, and struggled to get by for months. When ADRN finally heard about his situation, volunteers and staff stepped in with emergency support.
But that was just the beginning of Mark's long road to recovery. You can read the full story online.
